Responsibilities

  • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Answers department phones
  • Creates new employee files within the ADP system
  • Assists with bi-weekly payroll
  • Collect, compile and enter payroll data
  • Prepares payroll reports from the ADP system
  • Completes all verifications of employment
  • Assists with processing work comp claims
  • Assists with company benefits processing as needed
  • Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend moderate written and oral communication
  • Ability to manage one’s own time
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize and work in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to work independently and as a group 
  • Good to excellent computer skills and proficient with MS Office, emphasis on Excel
  • Prior ADP experience is a plus
  • Detail oriented and task driven
  • Adheres to strict guidelines maintaining confidentiality

 

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or equivalent work experience
  • One to two (1 to 2) years of experience in payroll processing preferred
  • Familiarity with benefit plans a plus
