Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Maintenance Technician to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience working with commercial-sized mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, rooftop units and possess strong problem-solving skills. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various HVAC and mechanical systems across retail and office environments. The candidate must be Boiler Certified and HVAC Certified, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in commercial maintenance.

Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, boilers, chillers and heating systems, including proper temperature control, air distribution, and humidity regulation.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed on HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with building management teams to ensure HVAC systems meet operational requirements.
  • Assist in the installation of new systems, when necessary.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and systems to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Respond to service calls and emergency repairs as needed, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • Boiler Certified (State of Nebraska or equivalent certification). - Required
  • HVAC Certified (e.g., EPA Certification). - Required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience working with commercial-sized HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, and rooftop units.
  • Solid experience with retail, office, and warehouse HVAC and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with Riello Array AR 200. - Preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients and team members effectively.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including after-hours or on-call when needed.
 
 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environments, including high places, tight spaces, and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Comfortable using various hand and power tools.
