Purchasing Manager

• Coach and motivate staff of buyers and support
• Manage “Just-In-Time” (JIT) order fulfillment(s) and product receiving  
• Negotiate national long term contracts
• Negotiate bulk purchases for stock management
• Oversight of purchase order expedition in a very fast paced environment
• Oversight of local Runner activities
• Oversight of stock materials, inventories and distributions
• Source/Interview new vendor relationships and product

• MUST have a minimum of 5 years experience in training and managing department staff, strong leadership and communication skills
• 4-year college degree preferred 
• Effective with both system organization and just in time scheduling
• Work in a fast paced environment
• Have great attention to detail and be extremely organized while simultaneously motivating and supervising a team of buyers and processors
• Strong PC knowledge
• Previous purchasing experience is helpful but not required
• Previous experience in multi-family apartment management a plus
