Position Overview:
As a Punch Out / Make Ready Carpenter, you will be responsible for the final interior prep and detailing of new apartment units. You will address finishing tasks, minor repairs, and touch-ups to ensure each unit meets quality control standards and is ready for turnover.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install and adjust door hardware (knobs, locks, hinges, etc.)
  2. Touch up paint and complete minor drywall and trim repairs
  3. Install bathroom hardware such as towel bars, toilet paper holders, and shower rods
  4. Perform minor caulking in kitchens, bathrooms, and baseboards
  5. Move and stock materials as needed on the job site
  6. Support general job site cleanliness and debris removal
  7. Work from punch lists to complete unit finishing tasks efficiently and accurately
  8. Collaborate with the construction and management teams to meet unit turnover deadlines

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. 1+ years of experience in finish carpentry, punch work, or apartment make-ready (new construction experience preferred)
  2. Strong working knowledge of basic tools and finishing techniques
  3. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship
  4. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  5. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  6. Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in active construction environments
  7. Ability to follow punch lists and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
